Discount Pet Medication

discount pet medication
Discount Pet Medication Cards Offered Cass County residents can get a prescription discount card from the Health, Human and Veterans Services office in Walker or at a family center in the county starting October 1. Certain pharmacies will also offer them.

The card will entitle holders to discount pet medication at an average savings of 20%. The cards are available to anyone, despite income or age.

The card will not cover non-prescription treatments, but it will cover diabetic supplies.

The card can also be used for prescription pet medications if purchased at a pharmacy.

The discount card can't be used to cover a co-pay or to cover gaps in prescription drug insurance. It can, however, be used if you have insurance and a prescription you need is not covered by your plan.

Cass County will start to offer the discount card program through the National Association of Counties, so the card can be used at pharmacies all over the nation and at most national chain pharmacies.

To find out which pharmacies participate, call (877) 321-2652.

Because pharmacy prices will vary, people will need to call the pharmacy where they plan on purchasing their drugs to get a quote their specific prescription.

The 877 number listed above can provide curious parties with estimates. A Web site for obtaining estimates is: www.caremark/naco.

The discount pet medication card can be used to purchase a ninety day supply of certain medications by mail directly through the Caremark Mail Service at a fixed price. Call the 877 # or visit the Caremark Website listed above for additional information.
